Stansted After Dark returns for Halloween week at Rowlands Castle
Stansted Park lists a ghost-tale maze walk and visit to the haunted undercrofts of Stansted House from 28 to 31 October 2026, recommended for ages 14 and over.
Stansted Park, the estate at Rowlands Castle, has listed a Halloween event called Stansted After Dark for Wednesday 28 to Saturday 31 October 2026. The details were on the park's website on 5 October 2026.
What is on offer
The park says the event takes visitors through its misty maze, where they hear a ghost tale from Torchlight Mysteries, before they venture into the haunted undercrofts of Stansted House. It describes the undercrofts as a series of vaulted cellars in the basement of the Edwardian mansion that are not usually open to the public.
The park says the event involves scary moving and talking animatronics, live actors and jump scares, and recommends it for ages 14 and over, adding that parental discretion is advised.
Times, price and access
Sessions are listed at 7pm, 7:30pm, 8pm or 8:30pm. The event starts at the South Entrance, where the car park postcode is PO9 6DU. Tickets cost £15 per person and the park says the price includes a complimentary drink in the Crypt after the experience, with further drinks available to buy there. Tickets are sold online through the park's ticketing platform, Ticket Tailor, via the event page.
The park says the undercrofts are reached by a couple of steps, the flooring is uneven in places and light levels will be low during the event. Anyone who wants to talk through accessibility can email events@stanstedpark.co.uk or call 02392 412265 and choose option 5.
The park's what's on page also lists a separate Halloween Under The House event on the same dates, and a wider programme of tours, talks and Christmas events through to December.
Full details and tickets are on the Stansted After Dark event page, and the programme is at the Stansted Park what's on page.
